Artist: Garmarna.
Album: Vedergällningen.
Type of music: Modern traditional Nordic folk music.
Tracks: 10
Length: 45:07
Comments: Many of the songs on this album are a bit more modern than their other records so it took a while before I fully liked it, but now I can't get enough of the music. The song texts are as usual in Swedish so maybe it's difficult for people outside Scandinavia to enjoy the music. If you like modern Nordic folk music this is a good buy even if the album maybe sounds a bit strange at the first listenings.

Artist: The Waves.
Album: Across The Sea.
Type of music: Traditional Irish folk & rock music.
Tracks: 13
Length: 49:55
Comments: A Swedish band who plays Irish songs could that be any good? Yes it is! They have the right sound and the songs they play are very fast and nice to listen to. They sounds almost like "The Pogues" but more traditional. Some of the songs on this album are "Nancy whiskey", "Foggy dew", "All around my hat"... I think it is hard to find this album in record stores, but if you find it, buy it!

Artist: Triakel.
Album: Triakel.
Type of music: Traditional Nordic folk music.
Tracks: 12
Length: 42:55
Comments: Traditional folk music with fiddle, harmonium and song. Emma Härdelin's voice are very powerful and makes the songs very mysterious and magical. Emma Härdelin also sings in the group Garmarna and the music on Triakel's album are very much like the kind Garmarna plays, but Triakel are more traditional and have older sound. The song texts are as always when Emma sings full of love but at the same time they are very violent and they often ends with death and blood. Best songs on the album are "Gammel Sara", ""Mjölnarens måg" and "Lejonbruden". All song texts are in Swedish.
